The volume and complexity of astronomical data continues to grow as the current and future generation of surveys come online (PanSTARRS, Dark Energy Survey, VISTA, LSST). This poses the challenges of developing and using new tools for data discovery, access, and analysis.

Lecture topics include:
- Astronomical Databases
- Virtual Observatories
- High Performance Computing
- Statistics and machine learning tools applied to Astronomy

Students from different disciplines are encouraged to participate, including (but not limited to) astronomy, computer science, statistics, and mathematics. There is no registration fee. A limited amount of scholarships will be available to help defray the costs of travel and accommodation.

This event in northern Chile, concentrating on specific data analysis tools for telescopes in the Chilean Andes Mountains, precedes the broader 3rd Pucon meeting in southern Chile.
