COIN: Progress Report

In April 2014, Rafael S. de Souza (Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest HU) initiated an IAA Working Group in Cosmostatistics, or WGC. It has since been renamed the Cosmostatistics Initiative, with an acronym of COIN. In August 2014, COIN held a week-long Summer Residence workshop in Lisbon, Portugal. Three projects were completed during that week, resulting in published research, and CRAN & Python packages. Two others will be completed in 2014, and five are currently ongoing. Currently there are over 60 COIN members with more than half actively involved with a project. Other projects are in the process of being developed.
