Summer Schools in Statistics for Astronomers PSU/IIA Week-long schools in statistical inference with R applications to astronomical data.  Topics include probability, maximum likelihood estimation, Bayesian inference, , regression, nonparametrics, bootstrap resampling, model fitting and selection, multivariate clustering and classification, truncation and censoring, spatial statistics, time series analysis, MCMC and other computational methods. Conducted since 2003 at Penn State’s Center for Astrostatistics and since 2007 at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics.
